Two persons were killed and six injured in a three-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon on U.S. 60 just east of Cabool.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said an eastbound 1995 Chevrolet van driven by Rose Gochal, 89, failed to yield at a crossover, drove onto the highway and was struck in the side by a westbound 2012 Dodge pickup operated by James Sorrell, 35, of Urbana. The impact caused his vehicle to strike a westbound 2001 Pontiac Sunfire driven by Kevin C. Enderle, 49, of West Plains.

Gochal and a passenger, Raymond Gochal, 64, of Mountain Grove, were pronounced dead at the scene by Texas County Coroner Thomas Whittaker.

James W. Sorrell, 5, was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield with serious injuries. Four others in the same vehicle were transported with moderate injuries to Ozarks Medical Center at West Plains: Cameron A. Adams, 5; Brieanna M. Sorrell, 3; the driver; and Karrie A. Sorrell, 25. They are all from Urbana.
