A Denver, Colo., man was arrested Wednesday, Nov. 20, in Texas County on drug charges.

The Licking Police Department received a request from the Texas County Sheriff’s Department at about 12:45 p.m. Saturday for emergency mutual aid assistance with a domestic disturbance on Boone Creek Road.

After investigating, responding officers arrested Timothy S. Vestal, 22, of Licking, for third-degree domestic assault and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

A search of a handbag belonging to a woman involved in the disturbance led to the discovery of methamphetamine-related drug paraphernalia. Nicole E. James, 20, of Licking, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, authorities said.

Vestal and James were transported to the Texas County Jail and held pending the formal filing of charges.

On Friday, a Licking officer initiated a traffic stop at 11:46 p.m. on a vehicle traveling on Old Salem Road. After obtaining identification from the driver and passenger, the officer conducted a records check on each person. The passenger, Terri L. Fredricks, 41, had a felony arrest warrant from Dallas, Texas, for a probation violation, authorities said.

Fredricks was arrested on the warrant and was transported to the Texas County Jail pending extradition.
