The Houston High School football team’s game at St. James has been moved up to Thursday due to anticipated heavy rains from Hurricane Isaac.

HHS athletic director Brent Kell said kickoff would remain at 7 p.m. He said St. James is offering a free meal of hot dogs, chips and sodas to any fans prior to the game.

Many South Central Association teams also moved their games to Thursday night. Salem, Willow Springs and Mountain Grove will all play a day early.

Cabool has moved the kickoff of Friday’s home game with Strafford to 6 p.m.
