Four persons were injured Friday night in a crash about five miles north of Boiling Springs. 

Four persons were injured in a crash Friday night as a father attempted to get medical attention for his son who experienced some type of ailment, authorities said.

Cpl. Curtis Haden said a southbound 2003 Ford Explorer on Slaughter Road about five miles north of Boiling Springs lost control in a curve, traveled off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

The driver, Dustin M. Benson, 32; and Ean M., 8; Jordan, 12; and Quentin M., 14, all were taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital.

The father’s injuries were deemed moderate. The boys had minor injuries. The SUV sustained extensive damage.
