Free sign language classes will be offered in Cabool beginning in September.
The six-week course is sponsored by Ozark Independent Living (OIL) and taught by Lynnette Cantrell. Classes are 6-8 p.m. each Tuesday beginning Sept. 18 at the Cabool Senior center.
The recommended book, “A Basic Course in American Sign Language,” will be available for $25 and may be purchased at the first class session or picked up at the OIL office in West Plains. Office hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
