Houston police handled several investigations during the last week.

The following are matters dealt with last week by Houston police:

Aug. 2

––Kristopher A. Horbyk, 23, of 6897 Highway 17 in Houston, was issued a citation on charges of following too closely after a two-car accident on Highway 17 at about 5:50 a.m. in which a car being driven by Horbyk reportedly rear-ended another car.

Aug. 4

––Justin D. Reed, 27, of 314 Bryan St. in Houston, was issued citations for littering and failure to obey. Reed was cited after officers had found him passed out in the front yard of an Ozark Street residence. After he was taken back to his own residence and told to stay inside until he sobered up, an officer reported seeing him moments later walking and falling down on Bryan Street.

The officer gave Reed paper towels to wipe his bleeding face, and Reed threw them on the ground after using them. He then resisted more than once after being transported to the Texas County Jail.
