A Licking woman is charged with possession of child pornography following a Licking Police Department investigation that began in May.
During the inquiry, an officer seized a cellular phone from Phoebe A. Barnum, 42, after believing it possibly containing images of child pornography. An investigator from South Central Missouri Computer Crimes Task Force examined the phone and found that more than 50 images of suspected child pornography were stored in it, Licking police said.
On Aug. 7, Texas County Prosecuting Attorney Mike Anderson charged Barnum with possession of greater than 20 images of child pornography. Barnum was arrested Thursday (today) on the warrant.
She was transported to the Texas County Jail and incarcerated pending $400,000 bond.
