Sales tax collections in Texas County dropped about 16 percent from 2011, according to the latest monthly distribution.
The Missouri Department of Revenue reported three, half-cent sales taxes generated about $60,000 each. That’s down about $11,400 each from the same period a year ago.
For the year, more than $530,000 has been collected from each. That’s down more than $20,000 on each from the same period a year ago.
