Tom Lee Rose, 51, of Houston, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, in a fire at his home.

He was born Jan. 31, 1961, in Hughes, Ark., son of Charles Rose and Helen Bolden.

He was a welder for 27 years in Rockford, Ill. He enjoyed music, working in the yard and his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Chuck; and his stepfather, Larry.

Survivors include his wife, Tina Neal of Houston; a sister, Shirley Rose of Rockford, Ill.; three sons, James, Dustin and Tom Rose Jr. of Rockford, Ill.; three daughters, Megan, Mallory and Nicole; eight grandchildren; and many other family members.

A celebration of life services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at Souls Harbor Family Worship with Pastor Cordie Wimberley officiating. Cremation was under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
