A woman was struck by a vehicle at Licking.

The Licking Police Department investigated an incident Monday in which a Tuscumbia woman was hit by a car while walking in the parking lot of the Friendly Village Shopping Center.

LPD chief Scott Lindsey reported that Onie L. Boulware, 68, was struck by a 2005 Toyota Prius being driven by Belinda G. Poole, 59, of Raymondville, when Poole was backing out of a parking space.

Boulware reportedly received minor injuries, while Poole (who was wearing a seatbelt) was not hurt.
