A Yukon felon has entered a guilty plea in a federal case initiated by the Texas County Sheriff's Department.

A Yukon man has entered a guilty plea in U.S. District Court in Springfield and awaits sentencing, said Lt. Melissa Dunn of the Texas County Sheriff’s Department, who investigated the offense.

Daun Lacey, 42, was indicted by a federal grand jury in February.

Dunn reported that on Feb. 7, a woman had filled out an affidavit indicating she had been at a Stoddard Lane residence at Yukon on Feb. 2 and witnessed a semi-automatic handgun lying on top of a stereo speaker and a rifle leaning on a wall in the game room.

The matter was turned over to the U.S. Department of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

According to court documents, Lacey remains held in federal custody without bond.
