Bernetta Willis

Bernetta Willis (formally of Houston, Mo.), age 89, daughter of Margaret (Notz) and Asa Julien, was born Nov. 24, 1922, at Revilla, S.D. The lord called her home on Sept. 4 2012, at her home in Springfield, Mo.

She was united in marriage to Lloyd Willis on Aug. 14, 1941.

To this union four children were born, two daughters and two sons.

One daughter, Carol Ingram of Brighton, Mo., preceded her in death.

Mrs. Willis was survived by her husband, Lloyd Willis, of 71 years. Also surviving are her children, Sue Willis of Springfield, Mo., Jerry Willis of Independence, Mo., and Danny Willis of Battlefield, Mo. Bernetta is also survived by four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Houston, Mo., for many years.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at Evans Funeral Home with Dr. Howell Burkhead officiating. Pallbearers were Jerry Willis, Dan Willis, Terry Millsap, Jerry Ingram, Randy Willis and Clinton Connolly. Burial was in Pine Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
