A Houston man escaped serious injury Thursday when his MoDOT tractor dropped into a Dent County drainage ditch, causing the vehicle to overturn and catch fire.
Johnathan E. Evans, 26, was operating the MoDOT 2010 John Deere tractor about 10 miles west of Salem on Highway 32 when the accident occurred. He was taken by private vehicle with minor injuries to Salem Memorial District Hospital, said Tpr. Greg Moravec of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The tractor was totaled.
