Houston police handled several investigations during the last week. 

The following are matters recently dealt with by Houston police:

Sept. 2

––Dustin R. Odom, 27, of 115 N. King St. in Houston, was issued a citation for failure to exhibit an insurance identification card following a traffic stop at about 11:45 p.m. on Oak Street.

Sept. 4

––Roy G. Warner Jr., 32, of 215 Hawthorne St. in Houston, was issued a citation for allowing an animal to run at-large after six puppies were reported loose in the yard of an Oak Street residence.

An officer stated in a report that Warner had received a warning the previous day about the same dogs running loose.

Sept. 5

––Teresa D. Mendenhall, 28, of 8861 Hayes Drive in Houston, was issued a citation for operating a vehicle with an expired license after a traffic stop at about 10:20 p.m. on Thomasville Road. An officer made the stop after observing expired tags on the 1990 Chevrolet Silverado Mendenhall was driving.

Sept. 9

––Zachary J. Kroll, 27, of 16433 Forrest Drive in Houston, was issued citations for driving while intoxicated and speeding after a traffic stop at about 1:10 a.m. on Airport Road.

An officer made the stop after observing a white Suzuki Grand Vitara traveling at a high rate of speed. After making contact with the driver, Kroll, the officer noticed beer cans in the vehicle and smelled a strong odor of cologne or perfume. Field sobriety tests were conducted, and Kroll was taken to the Texas County Jail.
