Houston police were called to several investigations in the last week. 

The following are other matters recently dealt with by Houston police:

July 31

—Sterling L. Moore, 19, of 11804 Highway 32 at Roby, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after being caught attempting to shoplift a bottle of rum from the Houston Walmart, according to a police report.

A 16-year-old boy was also involved, according to the police report about the incident.

Aug. 4

—Nekota S. Neal, 18, of 11804 Highway 32 at Roby, was issued a citation for second-degree property damage after allegedly causing damage at about 12:30 a.m. to a restroom stall and a water fountain at Emmett Kelly Park.

Aug. 20

—Michelle P. Kersey, 34, of 800 Cleveland Road in Houston, was issued a citation for third-degree domestic assault after being accused of assaulting her 39-year-old boyfriend and his 16-year-old daughter.

Aug. 26

—Megan L. Neal, 26, of 402 Phelps St. in Houston, was issued a citation for peace disturbance after allegedly yelling at her mother at a Mill Street residence.

Aug. 27

—Donald L. Crane, 32, of 205 W. Steffens St. in Houston, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after being caught attempting to shoplift a bottle of vodka from the Houston Walmart just after midnight, according to a report.

—Donald R. Atterberry, 52, of 9905 Highway 17 at Bucyrus, was issued citations for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway following a traffic stop at about midnight at Highway 17 and Airport Road.

An officer made the stop after observing a gray Chevrolet Silverado moving erratically and crossing the centerline. After making contact with the driver, Atterberry, the officer smelled alcohol and conducted field sobriety tests. Atterberry was taken to the Texas County Jail.

Aug. 28

—Toni S. Andrews, 18, and Preston J. Meier, 17, both of 310 Tiller St. in Licking, were each issued citations for stealing under $500 after being caught attempting to shoplift several items from the Houston Walmart, according to a report.

Aug. 29

—Jonathan E. Stenger, 20, of 927 Maple Ave. at Mountain Grove, was issued a citation for failure to exhibit insurance identification card after a traffic stop at about 8:30 p.m. on U.S. 63.

An officer made the stop after observing a gray Dodge truck traveling at what appeared to be a high rate of speed.

Sept. 1

—Christy L. Collins, 34, of 9002 Strawberry Road in Houston, and Amanda M. Trimble, 23, of 902 W. Chestnut St. in Houston, were each issued citations for peace disturbance by fighting after an officer determined they were involved in a scuffle at about 1:30 a.m. outside an eating and drinking establishment on Steffens Street.

An officer on patrol cited the two women after observing a large crowd of people in the street and on the sidewalk and seeing another officer breaking up a fight in the middle of the gathering.

The second officer stated he had been driving by the location and witnessed Collins and Trimble on the ground fighting. The two were separated and placed in different patrol cars for interviews. They were then released and are scheduled to appear Oct. 16 in municipal court.

Sept. 2

—Joseph A. Tyce, 25, of 211 Grand Ave., Apt. 2, in Houston, was issued a citation for failing to stop at a stop sign after an officer observed a silver Ford Explorer turn from Chestnut Street onto First Street without stopping.
