The Intercounty Electric Cooperative board has named a veteran of the organization to become interim general manager.
Jack Rinne, a 34-year employee, was named to the post. He is manager of operations and maintenance. Those duties will be shared until the general manager’s position is filled. Dwayne Cartwright resigned to take a position in South Carolina. A nationwide search for the Licking-based cooperative’s top job is expected to take several months.
Rinne began with the basics and moved up the ranks and through various journeyman lineman positions. Since November 2003, he was in his current post before being named interim general manager.
Rinne’s duties begin immediately as the position is transitioned from the departing Cartwright. Rinne and his wife, Judy, reside in Licking. He said he is looking forward to the challenges presented by the executive position.
