Freshman Nathan Poynter had two passing touchdowns in the Houston JV football team’s 20-14 loss Monday at Mountain Grove.
It was the first defeat of the season for the Tigers (3-1).
Poynter connected with Austin Keeney for a 56-yard score in the second quarter. He had a 47-yard pass to Scott Logan in the third.
Ethan Kelley had a first-quarter interception for the HHS defense. Tristan Cooper caused a third-quarter fumble that was recovered by Lueck Wright.
