Michael Ray “Biggs” Johnson, 23, of Cabool, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012.
He was born Sept. 8, 1989, in Mansfield, son of Danny and Debbie Bayless Johnson.
He graduated in 2008 from Cabool High School. He was active in football, baseball, basketball, track and the Iron Dog meets. He worked for a short time at Town & Country in Cabool while in school and attended one semester at Drury University after graduation. He then went to work at El Imperial as a cook in the evenings and worked as a bricklayer during the day.
He attended the Mountain Grove Full Gospel Church. Many times he would invite or bring a friend. He was saved at a young age and baptized at 8. At the age of 16, he became a Sunday school teacher for the primary class and a year later began helping with children’s church. He enjoyed his puppet and clown ministry. He was “Papa the Clown.” He learned to play the drums when he was 19. He enjoyed playing them at church.
Survivors include his parents, Danny and Debbie Johnson of Cabool; two brothers, Christopher Johnson of Cabool and Nathaniel Johnson of Jefferson City; his grandparents; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Services were Thursday, Sept. 13, at Cabool First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Miller officiating. Burial was in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery in Pomona under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home.
