A Houston man incarcerated at the Texas County Jail was issued a citation Sept. 18 by the Houston Police Department for delivery or concealment of a prohibited article to the county jail.
Anthony C. White, 27, of 16464 Forrest Drive in Houston, was cited after an officer who had transported four inmates from municipal court back to the jail observed him gathering cigarette butts from an ashtray in the sally port at the jail and placing them in his pants, according to a report.
The officer stated that when the officer confronted White, he put several butts back in the ashtray and said that was all he had. A jailer later reported finding more butts concealed in White’s pants.

Sept. 20
––Gary R. Riley, 44, of 218-B Green St. in Licking, was arrested for having an active Texas County warrant for two counts of illegal possession of drugs. An officer made the arrest at the state probation and parole officer after being told Riley was there. He was taken to the Texas County Jail and held on $200,000 bond.
Sept. 22
Stacy N. Summers, 27, of 619 Sommerfield Drive in Houston, was issued a citation for improper vehicle registration after an officer observed expired tags on the Ford sedan Summers was driving on South U.S. 63 at about 7:15 p.m.
