Missouri Community Betterment judges visited recently in Houston, where local community projects were showcased. A tour of the town also was included. The City of Houston will compete Monday  for honors in the Missouri Community Betterment Contest.

Community leaders and those students involved with the youth arm of Community Betterment and Arts Council of Houston will attend the 49th annual conference Sunday and Monday at Lake Ozark.

Competing in Houston’s population category are: Bethany, Hamilton, Louisiana, Monroe City and Windsor.

Judges earlier toured Houston after reviewing of project book that detailed improvements made in the community in the last year.
