A 25th Circuit Court judge is among finalists for a seat on the Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District.
Presiding Circuit Judge Mary Sheffield of Rolla is among the trio selected by the Appellate Judicial Commission. The others are 33rd Circuit Presiding Judge David Dolan and John E. Price.
Twenty-one applied for the job, including Texas County Associate Circuit Judge Doug Gaston of Houston.
Judge Robert S. Barney retired in August.
Interviews occurred on Oct. 11. Gov. Jay Nixon will make the selection.
