Teresa Lynn Phillips

Teresa Lynn (Terry) O’Neil Phillips went to meet her Heavenly Father on Sept. 26, 2012, in Houston, Mo. She was born April 22, 1956, in Camp Barstow, Calif., daughter of Bill and Glenda (Winslow) O’Neil.

She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior in 1972. She enjoyed visiting all churches and singing praises to the Lord.

She married Jim Feringa in April 1975. From this union was born a son, Jamie Ray.

She married Roy Phillips in June 1989.

She enjoyed swimming, singing, camping on the river, living on the river, collecting rocks and driftwood, playing/loving her dog, Chubby, meeting new people and talking to old friends. Terry never met a stranger and made lifelong friendships. She loved spending time with family and especially her grandchildren. Her passion was spreading the Word of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; her father; and all her grandparents.

Survivors include her son, Jamie Feringa; granddaughters’ mothers, Brandi Masters and Tara Carter-Cook; grandchildren, Dalrayne, Daiza, Kaeda, Miley and Kale; mother, Glenda O’Neil; sisters, Lorraine and Gerald Romine of Branson, Mo., and Vicki Wade of Houston, Mo.; brothers, Glenn and Jenny O’Neil of Scott City, Kan., and Billy and Debbie O’Neil of Licking, Mo.; and a host of nephews and nieces.

She will be loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Memorial services were Sunday, Sept. 30, at Houston First Christian Church. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Terry Phillips Memorial Fund c/o Evans Funeral Home. Cremation was under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
