Alma Ruth Ramsey Stienbarger, 89, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at her home.
She was born July 31, 1923, in Licking, daughter of Robert Burton and Melinda Arminda Baker Ramsey. She and LeRoy Stienbarger were married in 1947.
One of 10 children, she grew up in the Solo community. Her mother died when she was five, and she quit school in the eighth grade to help at home.
She and her husband lived in Independence before moving to Licking. They lived on a farm their the rest of their lives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, LeRoy; a son, Gary LeRoy; six brothers, Vernon Ramsey, Earl Ramsey, Oral Ramsey, Kenneth Ramsey, Athol Ramsey and Gene Ramsey; and three sisters, Eunice Ramsey, Nona Roberts and Juanita Imhoff.
Survivors include a daughter, Sue Daniels of Licking; a son, Larry Stienbarger of Licking; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services were Saturday, Oct. 27, in Boone Creek Cemetery with Dr. James Miller officiating. Services were under direction of Fox Funeral Home.
