Betty Faye Mansfield, 70, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Texas County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Flint, Mich., daughter of Charlie and Virgie Dempsey Mitchell. She and Earl Franklin Mansfield were married June 6, 1942.
She played all sports at a young age and excelled in basketball at Hornersville High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl; and two sons, Garry and Perry.
Survivors include a son, Dennis Mansfield; two daughters, Frankie Topping and Marilyn Schultz of Houston; and many other family members.
Services were Wednesday, Nov. 14, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Walker officiating. Burial was in Hutchason Cemetery.
