Texas County’s unemployment rate stood at 7.1 percent in October, the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
According to the report, the civilian labor force was 10,937, and jobless totals stood at 776.
Other area counties and their unemployment rates: Douglas, 7.7; Howell, 6.6; Shannon, 10.4; and Wright, 7.7.
The rate in south-central Missouri was 7.5 percent.
