Houston will host its annual "Taste of Christmas" on Saturday, Nov. 29.

Houston’s annual Christmas tasting event is Saturday, Nov. 24.

Participants must enter their goodies by 9 a.m. at the business featuring their category. Judging starts at 10 a.m. Winners are determined by the public based on the highest number of votes. Winners will be selected by 2 p.m. except where a business closes earlier.

Here is the list of businesses and the items that residents can drop by for judging:

Neal’s Sporting Goods, cookies; Community Bank, cheeseballs; Houston Herald, candy; All Dolled Up, appetizers; Untangled, cupcakes; and Romines Motor Co. Inc., dips.

Tans Unlimited, holiday drinks; Raspberry Leopard, muffins; St. Mark’s Church, fudge; JAZ Trophies, Chex Mix; Paws N’ Claws, salads; JC’s Auto Repair, breads; Diane’s Pet Styles, pies; Orscheln Farm and Home, jams and jellies; Houston Veterinary Hospital, brownies; and D & L Florist, salsa.
