The following are other matters dealt with last week by Houston police:
Nov. 26
––Dale E. Southworth, 64, of 20431 Friendship Drive at Raymondville, was arrested for having an active Texas County felony warrant issued on original Houston Police Department charges of resisting or interfering with a felony arrest, first-degree property damage,and third-degree assault.
The officer made the arrest at the Missouri Private Probation office. Southworth was taken to the Texas County Jail and held pending action by his attorney to have him released.
Nov. 28
––Alan S. Hoover, 51, of 740 Augusta St. in Houston, was issued three citations after being involved in a single-vehicle accident at about 9:40 p.m. on Airport Road near Hawthorne Street.
An investigating officer reported that the 2002 Mazda pickup Hoover was driving had apparently hit a curb, gone through a yard of a home at the location, hit a tree, and then come to rest sideways in the northbound land of Airport Road.
While investigating, the officer smelled alcohol coming from Hoover and field sobriety tests were conducted. The officer noted that Hoover’s 14-year-old son had also been in the truck.
