Linda Ramsey

Linda Marie Ramsey, 62, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

She was born Jan. 3, 1950, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, daughter of Melvin James and Elizabeth Marie Cozad Parker. She and Lonnie James were married July 21, 1967.

She grew up in the Licking area until third grade. She continued her education in Houston.

She was saved at a young age at Boone Creek Baptist Church.

She worked as a nurse’s aide and later as a med tech in nursing homes.

She enjoyed reading, doing puzzle books of any kind and plastic canvas handiwork.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lonnie.

Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Denise Ramsey of Houston, Freda Marie Richardson of Louisville, Ky., and Rhonda Joann Ramsey of Ozark; four grandsons; three granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; two great-grandsons; two brothers, Richard Melvin Parker and Roger Lynn Parker; three sisters, Charlotte Ann Cameron, Willa Jean Knott and Wanda Sue Sillyman; and several other family members and friends.

Services were Friday, Dec. 7, at Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Lairmore officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
