The following are other matters recently dealt with by Houston police and documented in written reports submitted by officers:
Dec. 11
––Alex J. Collins, 23, of 17454 Highway B at Houston, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after officers investigated a report that a carton of cigarettes had been swiped from inside a vehicle parked at a Walnut Street business.
Collins was arrested after an employee of a U.S. 63 gas station reported that he had been there to exchange the swiped cigarettes for a different brand.
Dec. 14
––Karla R. Odom, 46, was issued a citation for failure to register a motor vehicle following a traffic stop at about 3 a.m. on Hamrick Avenue.
––Christina R. Smith, 28, of 307 Skyview Terrace in Houston, was issued citations for driving while intoxicated and speeding after a traffic stop at about 1:20 a.m. on Airport Road.
An officer made the stop after observing a gold Ford Focus traveling at what appeared to be an excessive rate of speed. After making contact with the driver – Smith – the officer smelled alcohol and field sobriety tests were conducted.
Dec. 15
––Ridge A. A. Miller, 21, of 5406 Benton Lane in Cabool, was issued citations for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway after an officer observed a white Toyota Tundra traveling erratically at about 11:40 p.m. on First Street.
After making contact with the driver – Miller – the officer smelled alcohol and field sobriety tests were conducted.
Dec. 16
Elizabeth A. Maddox, 25, of 12597 Garrison Dr. in Licking, was issued citations for driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at about 4 a.m. on Hamrick Avenue.
An officer made the stop after observing expired tags on a silver Chevrolet Cavalier. After making contact with the driver – Maddox – the officer smelled alcohol and field sobriety tests were conducted and the drugs and smoking apparatus were discovered.
Dec. 17
––Terry E. Sikes, 34, of 15343 Piney Dr. at Bucyrus, was issued a citation for failure to exhibit an insurance identification card following a traffic stop at about 11:20 p.m. on First Street.
Dec. 19
Dee Ann Lawrence, 45, of 600 S. Grand Ave. in Houston, was issued a citation for improper vehicle registration after an officer observed expired tags on a green Jeep Cherokee traveling on Chestnut Street.
––Benjamin T. Hickox, 51, of 321 Main St. in Houston, was issued citations for driving with a revoked license and failure to yield right of way after an officer’s investigation of a two-vehicle accident at about 7:50 a.m. at the intersection of South Sam Houston Blvd. and Holder Drive.
Dec. 21
––David D. Weybright, 21, of 612 Oak St. in Houston, was issued a citation for failure to exhibit and insurance identification card after a traffic stop at about 10:45 p.m. on U.S. 63.
––Nadatha S. Walker, 21, of 8205 Northview Lane, Lot 25, in Houston, was arrested for having an active Texas County warrant for attempt to purchase or possession of liquor by a minor. An officer who was aware of the warrant made the arrest at about 7:45 p.m. after being dispatched to at a Houston apartment building to investigate a domestic dispute, and finding Walker there.
