Robert “Bob” E. Courtney Sr., 72, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at St. Clare Hospital in Fenton.
He was born Jan. 1, 1940, son of Evan Oscar and Violet Jewell Cummins Courtney.
He loved collecting, hunting and bass fishing. He most recently began goat farming.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Denzil Courtney.
Survivors include a son, Robert E. Courtney Jr.; a daughter, Lisa D. Courtney; two grandchildren; a girlfriend, Sarah; and a special dog, Jody.
Graveside services were Tuesday, Dec. 4, in Friendship Cemetery with Wesley Wallace officiating. Services were under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
