Texas County deputies obtained information about a 27-year-old Montana murder following an inquiry, authorities said.
A request was received from the Dawson County Sheriff’s Department in Montana regarding assistance with the investigation of the murder.
Dawson County authorities provided the name of a woman in Texas County who might have information about a truck that was believed to have been involved in the case, and people who might have owed or driven the vehicle.
An officer made contact with the woman, and she provided information that was forwarded to the Montana agency. The woman was informed that she might be contacted by phone by investigating officers in Montana, and she indicated her willingness to assist.
