Two Bucyrus residents were injured Friday afternoon in a U.S. 63 crash stemming from slick roads, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Two Bucyrus residents were injured Friday afternoon when their vehicle hit a patch of ice north of Houston on U.S. 63 and overturned.

Cpl. Scott Nelson of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said a southbound 2007 Ford Focus driven by Joshua R. Lohrer, 36, was totaled.

A passenger, Tracy L. Lohrer, 29, had moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital. She was wearing a seat belt. The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was to seek his own medical addition.

Nelson was assisted at the scene, seven miles north of Houston, by Tpr. Myron Downey and the Licking Fire Department.
