Two agencies sought the help of the Texas County Sheriff’s Department in the last week.
Help was needed in two theft investigations:
––The Mammoth Springs, Ark. police department requested assistance in locating a 60-year-old Wilford woman who was a suspect in a theft investigation and was last known to be at a motel in Houston.
An officer located the woman at a motel and contacted the Mammoth Springs police chief to ask if she should be arrested. The chief advised the deputy to just get a statement from her.
––The Rolla Police Department requested assistance in locating a man who was suspected of swiping $423 worth of seafood from a Rolla grocery store.
A Rolla officer stated that the license number of the vehicle the suspect was driving was registered to a Licking man.
A deputy went to the suspect’s Boone Creek Road residence but was unable to make contact with him. The officer told a woman there to inform the suspect that he needed to call the Rolla PD when he returned.
