A Texas County native was named last week as a business manager for Ozark Technical College’s Center for Workforce Development in Springfield.
Sterling Huff was one of two persons hired and will focus on the center’s corporate college programs, professional certifications division, computer training institute and community enrichment opportunities.
Huff, a Licking native, served most recently as the president and chief executive officer of Metropolitan National Bank, overseeing 12 branches and about 160 employees. He has held positions, including senior vice president, chief executive officer and vice president at several other area banking institutions.
Cliff Davis, vice chancellor for advancement, student affairs and workforce development, said the move will allow the institution to better focus workforce development resources on what the community needs.
