The Houston Lady Tigers improved to 2-1 in South Central Association play with a 45-37 comeback victory last Thursday at Salem.
Kylee Elmore scored 13 points and Alexa Ichord added 11 for HHS (7-2), which outscored Salem 29-18 in the second half to erase a three-point halftime deficit.
Kayla Herndon led the Lady Tigers with seven rebounds. Amber Sillyman had a team-best six assists.
On Monday, Houston lost 64-36 to Strafford on the opening night of the Mountain Grove Tournament.
Elmore and Ichord led the Lady Tigers with 11 points apiece. Houston committed 19 turnovers.
JUNIOR VARSITY: Freshman Sarah Kelley scored 15 points to lead the JV Lady Tigers past Salem 47-16 last Thursday.
Monica Hunter added seven points for HHS (6-2), which outscored Salem 33-10 in the second half. Shelby Cremer and Chloe Morning scored six points apiece.
Makayla Koch and Lizzy Swindell led Houston with five rebounds apiece. Krista Scott had four steals.
On Monday, Strafford beat the JV Lady Tigers 26-17 at the Mountain Grove Tournament.
Kelley led Houston with six points. Koch had five rebounds and two steals.
