Three persons were injured late Monday afternoon in a crash south of Licking on U.S. 63 at Highway BB.

A Licking man was seriously injured Wednesday in a crash north of his hometown, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Tpr. Myron Downey said a southbound 1993 Dodge Stealth driven by Jacob M. Surritte, 21, failed to negotiate a curve, travelled off the left side of the roadway, striking a culvert and fence before overturning. The driver was ejected on Shafer Road about seven miles north of Licking.

Surritte was flown by air ambulance to Cox South in Springfield.

The vehicle was totaled. Assisting Downey at the scene were Tpr. Marty Wiseman and Cpl. T.A. Badgett.
