Texas County will be represented in the Missouri General Assembly by two new members when the body reconvenes this week.
Rep. Robert Ross of Eunice, a Republican, fills the position held by Don Wells of Cabool. Wells could not seek re-election to the office due to term limits.

The 142nd District includes Texas and parts of Howell, Pulaski and Phelps counties.
State Sen. Mike Cunningham of Rogersville, a Republican, takes the 33rd District seat, replacing Chuck Purgason of Caulfield who could not seek re-election due to term limits. The district includes Douglas, Howell, Oregon, Ozark, Ripley, Texas, Webster and Wright counties.
