Norma Leota Elmore, 90, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Texas County Memorial Hospital.
She was born Oct. 21, 1922, in Newton County, daughter of James and Bertha Litle Lankford. She and Lehman Howard Elmore were married Nov. 30, 1940.
She was a homemaker and talented seamstress, making many quilts and crocheted items for family, friends and commercial sale.
She and her husband, James, lived many years in Neosho before moving to Houston.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; and her siblings.
Survivors include a son, James; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services were Tuesday, Jan. 8, in Swars Prairie Baptist Cemetery in Seneca with James A. Lankford officiating. Services were under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
