A Summersville boy was injured Saturday, Jan. 26, in a crash north of his hometown, the state patrol said.

A 16-year-old Summersville boy received injuries Saturday afternoon when his vehicle ran off Highway 17, struck a driveway approach and overturned, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Cpl. Scott Nelson said the 1988 Suzuki Samurai was driven by Brian J. Headings, who was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

The vehicle was totaled about three miles north of Summersville. The driver was not wearing a seat belt, Nelson said.
