Two persons were arrested on DWI charges on Tuesday, Jan. 1. 

Two persons were arrested early Tuesday on DWI charges, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Charles R. Mayes, 37, of Houston, was arrested on charges of felony DWI – persistent offender, felony driving while revoked, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and speeding, according to a report.

He was taken to the Texas County Jail and held for 24 hours pending the filing of formal charges.

Nicholas D. Derrick, 22, of Raymondville, was arrested on charges of DWI – first offense; and having no insurance. He was taken to the Texas County Jail and held for 12 hours.

Andy J. Altic, 25, of Brighton, was arrested Monday in Texas County on a felony probation warrant charging him with being a parole absconder. He was taken to the Texas County.
