National FFA Week activities kicked off over the weekend with a breakfast in Houston and members attending church Sunday at Ellis Prairie Baptist.
Members of the Houston chapter cooked and served a breakfast for residents Saturday as a means of saying thanks for their support during the last year.
Members gathered Sunday at the Ellis Prairie church to says thanks to a former member and supporters of the chapter, Jerry Hancock and Bobby Hayes, who recognize the value of FFA, including awareness of community, leadership ability and preparedness for the future.
Attending were FFA members Taylor Bryson, Erika Cooperman, Emily Grimm, Chelsea Shelton, Sierra Keller, Caleb Adkison, Jacob Wallace, Rea Ann Kirkwood, Darin Archuleta, Aaron Stilley, Adale, Ellie and Jon Bradshaw, Megan Silveus, Austin Keeney, Katlynn Huff, Camber Shelton, Elizabeth Cabezas, Johnathan Collins, adviser Van Kirkwood and some parents and siblings.
FFA members also sang with the choir.
The church held a spaghetti dinner following the service in the chapter’s honor.
