A hunter education class is set for March 16-17 in Texas County.

A hunter education course sponsored by the Missouri Department of Conservation is scheduled for March 16 and 17 at Faith Fellowship Church at Bucyrus.

Hunters wanting to purchase adult permits for Missouri deer and turkey seasons who were born on or after Jan. 1, 1967, must have completed an MDC certified hunter education course and display a certification card at the time of purchase, and adults planning to aid a youth in a youth hunt must be hunter education certified.

The two sessions are set for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 16 and 1 to 5 p.m. March 17.

Students must be at least 11 years old to participate, and are required to attend both days.
