Texas County deputies were called to several crime investigations during the last week.

The following are matters recently dealt with by Houston police:

Feb. 2

––Anthony D. Teem, 36, of 6567 Millstone Road in Houston, was issued three citations following a traffic stop at about 1:45 a.m. on U.S. 63.

An officer made the stop after observing a green Chevrolet Lumina traveling south with no front license plate. After making contact with the driver, the officer saw an empty liquor bottle sitting on the passenger seat.

Following the officer’s investigation, Teem was taken to the Texas County Jail. Upon arrival at the jail, Teem stated he marijuana and a smoking device in his pocket, according to a report. He was cited for driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

––Tracy L. Arobogast, 43, of P.O. Box 232 at Houston, was issued a citation for failure to register a motor vehicle after a traffic stop at about 11:30 p.m. on U.S. 63.

Feb. 3

––Ira J. Ridgely, 27, of 8164 Morton Road, Lot 4, at Houston, was arrested for having an active Phelps County warrant charging him with second-degree burglary.

An officer who was aware of the warrant arrested Ridgley after responding to a report of a vehicle “doing donuts” in the parking lot of a U.S. 63 business at about 4:10 p.m.

The driver was Ridgley, who was taken to the Texas County Jail pending extradition to Phelps County.

Feb. 8

––Ashton M. Bathon, 17, of 18621 Highway H at Elk Creek, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after being caught attempting to shoplift several items at the Houston Walmart.
