A Cabool man was arrested Tuesday, Oct. 8, in a domestic assault case, authorities said.

A Houston man was arrested last week and faces multiple charges after being accused of attempting to assault two police officers who were investigating a report of a peace disturbance.

Christopher S. Willard, 34, of 1122 W. Highway 17 in Houston, was arrested without incident Friday at his residence, following a March 6 incident in which he allegedly caused a disturbance at a woman’s Steffens Street residence and refused to leave. Officers investigating the case reported that Willard was uncooperative and combative, and that he tried to hit and kick them as they attempted to apprehend him. A Taser was used to subdue Willard, and he was taken to the Texas County Jail for a 24-hour hold period, according to a report.

After charges were filed by the county prosecutor and a warrant issued for Willard’s arrest, he was again taken to the jail, where he was unable to post $100,000 bond.
