Two persons were injured Saturday, March 30, in southern Texas County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol. 

The driver was jailed and a passenger injured in a crash Saturday night in southern Texas County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Tpr. P.R. Wells said an eastbound 1999 GMC Yukon driven by Nathan L. Smith, 22, ran off Bradford Road and struck a tree. 

A passenger, Vincent M. Smith, 34, of Willow Springs, had moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Ozarks Medical Center at West Plains. Wells said he was not wearing a seat belt. 

Nathan Smith was charged with DWI, first; misdemeanor possession of marijuana and wearing no seat belt. Smith refused treatment. 

The vehicle was totaled.
