Meramec Regional Planning Commission (MRPC) will host a series of community meetings to provide information to the public about the ongoing Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) process for Fort Leonard Wood and the surrounding communities in March.
The JLUS is designed to assist Fort Leonard Wood and the surrounding communities in identifying practical steps that can be taken to foster compatible land use around the installation and to enhance regional cooperation and coordination on land use matters and other issues of mutual importance.
The community meetings will provide residents with background information regarding the JLUS, including the study process and background research completed to date. The meeting in Houston is 7 p.m. March 25 at the Texas County Justice Center.
Future meetings will be held throughout the region to present the study’s findings following the analysis phase of the project.
