Zach Gregory, a freshman at Houston High School, bagged this gobbler on the opening morning of spring turkey season on the family farm at Ellis Prairie. It weighed 26 pounds and had an 11-inch beard and one-inch spurs. He still made it to school on time Monday morning.

Texas County was third in the state with 215 in the spring turkey season count on Wednesday afternoon.
