A Houston girl received moderate injuries Tuesday afternoon when her vehicle failed to negotiate a curve and struck a tree.
Tpr. Terry Nelson of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said a northbound 1996 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Leanna N. Schafer, 16, ran off Mineral Drive just north of the city limits.
Schafer, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital. Nelson said the vehicle was totaled.
