Imogene Agnes Hart Timmer, 85, died Sunday, March 24, 2013, at her home in Mansfield, Ohio.
She was born April 10, 1927, in Turley, Roubidoux, daughter of Kirby Ernest and Georgia Bell Douglas Hart. She and Donald H. Timmer were married Oct. 25, 1945.
She and her husband, Don, met during an U.S.O. dance at Fort Leonard Wood. They married six weeks later.
She was the head of accounts receivable for the Magnavox Corporation while her husband was in college. She did numerous volunteer work, including 10 years on the board at Kingwood Center. She was a member of Little Washington Congregational Church for 54 years, where she taught Sunday school, Bible school and was active in the women’s fellowship, youth program and numerous boards.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Kirby Hart.
Survivors include her husband, Don; two daughters, Linda Cheryl Timmer-Upton and Loretta Ann Shaffner of Mansfield, Ohio; a son, David Hart Timmer of Mansfield, Ohio; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Douglas W. Hart of Houston; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were Wednesday, March 27, at Little Washington Congregational Church. Burial was in Little Washington Cemetery in Mansfield, Ohio.
