Jared L. Reese

Jared Lee Reese, 17, of Cabool, died Friday, April 26, 2013.

He was born Feb. 1, 1996, in Springfield, son of Dwight and Valerie Oaks Reese.

He was a junior at Cabool High School and was taking classes at Missouri State University. He was a member of the Cabool baseball and football teams, FFA, Mayor’s Youth Council, Fellowship of Christian Teens, FBLA and FFCLA.

He loved to fish, hunt, play sports and spend time with family and friends.

He accepted Jesus Christ as his savior and was baptized on Oct. 21, 2012. He enjoyed spending time with the Cabool Christian Church youth group.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Marlin and Virginia Reese; his maternal grandfather, Charlie Oaks; and two uncles, Danny Reese and Teddy Reese.

Survivors include his parents, Dwight and Valerie Reese; two brothers, Jacob and Joshua Reese; two sisters, Jenna Garr and Jackie Sheppard; and many other family members.

Services were Tuesday, April 30, at the Cabool High School gymnasium with Bro. Bob Martin officiating. Burial was in the Penner Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home.
